LIGHTNING CAVALRY has the best jockey in the set but he has done nothing so far but is running agains unproven horses.I like to stay away from this race from a punting point of view but if I had to make a bet it would be on DIPLOMATIC LICENCE .

Race 1: I cant understand why has VALID EXPECTATION been off the track for 2 months and also has been on the track for only 3 times in that period.Horse has the class but too many doubts in my mind secondly he dint seem to like the soft going in his last run if fit will run a good race but not worth a bet under 2-1 and if he win then Good luck.The 2 horses that will trouble the favorte are LUMINOUS GOLD who is improving with every run and SHES SPECTACULAR who is also capable of matching strides with the former. FANAA is capable to spring a surprise at big odds.

Race 4: In my opinion DISTINCTLY AHEAD needs more time and distance and currently CANNAVARO definately lookes better then him if the jockey can handle the pressure however the horse every one has to beat is LUNAR LUST who does not belong in this class has been prepared very well and only bad intentions or bad luck can see her lose today.

Race 5: Pace of this race will decide the winner as all 7 horses in the Fray are good to win its hard to see who is going to make the pace. NOBLE PRINCE has done nothing wrong so far however he does relish a fast pace it looks highly unlikely the pace is going to be fast as all 7 are contenders hence he is not worth a bet under 1-1/2. Looks very likely that ARABIAN KNIGHT will make the pace and if he does he will be the horse to beat.
I personally will leave the race and watch it but my order of prefrence will be the Naredu Clan as both ARABIAN KNIGHT and AZUREUS looks to have been prepared with this race in mind.
Race 6: THE CONTENDER is a worthy favorite here but can be beaten as is running against some classy animals.But the race should be between 2-3-4-5-8. QUEEN RANIA seem to have come good again and looking at the last spurt if ready to strike and will be right there.2 horses that can upset are STONE OF DESTINY who is down in class and did not have the best ride last time and my favorite horse the big hearted ATTAIN .I will be having a eachwapunt on both but they have to beat the queen. STAFIRE is also down in class last run suggests that he will ne right there asn also loves soft going should fill the frame and can place at long odds.

Todays card is not the best for punters most of the fancied runners have a chance however because every race has atleast 8 pretenders(Non Triers) and most of the fancied runners being drawn akwardly it can affect there chances so it will pay to go slow today and good luck.

Pune Day 1 24 July
First day of pune. I normaly dont do much for the first 3-4 weeks and like to see the season settle and my advise would be the same for everyone.Pune course is the toughest of all and favor onlt certain horses.Even jockeys take a while to get used to the course so go very slow and enjoy the sport for a few weeks. However I do believe that the card will favort the punters today.
Race 1: The First race of the season has the least number of horses but jockeys on horses 1-2-5-6 are all inter linked to one owner who has a runner in the race if you are not sure which of the above 4 will be tried then leave the race. On paper COMBUSTION cant lose but I would stay away from the favorite due to 3 factors.1 M Narredu,2,He has not won in Pune yet and 3) H Methta. If you are a follower of favorites be careful. only 2 horses can trouble the favorite and my first pick is HERE COMES THE DON whos first run is his best run and in this small field will run away. MEDTIAS PRIDE loves the pune track is drawn very well and is tracking well too and can upset.

Early post today as I have to go away for 2 days and won be able to cover sunday.Good luck all, earlier races look between fancied runners Good luck all.
Race 1: ONE has the best credentials in this set but only one horse can upset him and that is CHILLI CHOCOLATE make note of this horse today she is tracking very well and can beat anyone if on job is certainly worth a eachway punt.

Race 2: CHIMERIQUE is a classy horse with a bright future,First run is the only reason why she will lose, RAPTOR FORCE is the only danger.
Race 3: Bad race but FIRE OF JOY is my first pick to win from CLOUSEAU ..... WORD TO WORD has every thing in his favor today to cause a upset dont I gnore.
Race 4: I strongly believe that there will be a major upset in this race my first pick is FRIENDLY FIRE who is well placed on handicap but will have to beat the very well prepared PREDOMINANT

Good luck for the day looks a mixed card hence look for value.
Race 1: As simple as this race looks the more complex it seems to get atleast for me firstly STAR WAVE in my opinion needs more distance and need a longer strech as he seems to change strides only saving grace today is that she is tracking very well but in this set her winning looks tough.This jodi with BLINK who is an unsound horse but is better then the former can lose today as there are more condenders then pretenders.the winner should come from 1-3-6-7. Horses 1 and 3 belong to Ghatala so cant say which one will be tried but STRONG MINDED should not be overlooked and 7flgs will suit him.My personal fancy is CASSANDRA who has been well prepared and ready to strike an upset cant be ruled out from ROYAL TREASURE who is blazing the track.
Tips: CASSANDRA / STRONG MINDED (Toss Up) Upset: ROYAL TREASURE

Race 5: this is bad race and an upset can t be ruled out here my prefrence is RENASCENT who has run in a far superior company and has been tracking very well to win from SOBERANO if Ghatala goes with him.Make note of SYMBOL OF SPEED here distance is sharp but can upset consider for jackpot.

Race 6: THE KINGFISHER DERBY BANGALORE (GRADE I)
The only way SET ALIGHT can lose today is if Malesh misjudges the pace and tactics of the race the horse. the major problem he has is not ARCHIPENKO who is improving with every run but the problem lies with Ramus horses if you look closely all of ramus horses i.e. 3-4-5-6 are very closely matched and all of the are improving with every run If malesh assumes the wrong horse to track not to track with he can be in serious trouble. STAR OF WASHINGTON was ridden in a very un usual manner last time and was not ridden out at all is tracking well and should run a brave race but I think GENTLE KNIGHT is the one horse Malesh will have to look out for in my opinion he is the one that can spring a surprise if Malesh misjudges the race.
Good luck to everyone I dont back Favorites hence will leave this race and watch the tactics but will have a small eachway punt on GENTLE KNIGHT.

Race 1: VALIANT BID has been very well prepared for this race only danger is ENFORCEMENT whos last run is best ignored and will give the former a run for the money place looks certain.the dark horse here is DIAMOND SHOWER who if on job will beat this set hands down watch the market on him.

Race 2: Bad race I am going to take my chances on SPLENDID GLORY to win from CASINO ROYAL
Race 3: I will be leaving this race KYLES OF BUTE who was not lucky last time is a worth favorite but the problem is that he has beaten no one so far hence hard to judge potential. SPANDAU BALLET and SPARK OF GOLD will test his waters hence I am staying away from here.

Race 4: This race is between the top 2 horses LITTLE SPLENDOUR has always run in a far superior set and if you take the line of race 30 where she was not ridden on her merits sho looks better then the favorite only problem is the jockey who belongs to the Ramu gang hope hi does justice to his mount.
Tips; LITTLE SPLENDOUR/ QUEENS GUEST
Race 5: THE MAHARAJA'S CUP (GRADE II)
In my opinion this is a open race but the result should come from 1-2-6-7-13.
On handicap I do like MOTHERS PRIDE but filly running in a span of 2 weeks can take its toll.hence from the rest my first pick is SOUTHERN EMPIRE to win either from GRUEZI or BOURBON KING .However being such a open race and not being certain on my choice I am opting to have a eachway punt on RUBY QUEEN whos preparation has been spoton and has the right potential to upset her.
Tips: Southern Empire/B King/Gruezi Upset: RUBY QUEEN (my bet)
Race 6: if sound and par mishap THE CONTENDER should not have any problems tackling this set the Upset here is CIMARRON who look the only danger and should run a good race and place on default.

Race 7: Bad race too many first timers however I do like the chances of ANNAS QUEST
Race 8: MY FRIEND PAUL should run a good race but will have to look out for SNOB VALUE who will make thing hard and is worth a small eachway punt.

This is the toughest card I have seen in a very long time if you have something better to do them please do it if not stay away from the favorites today as I believe it is going to be day of upsets.I Ghatala,V Shinde and the Naredu Clan are the ones to follow.Niel Darashah is another trainer can score a double at long odds.
Race 1: Interesting race where the jodi is of the wrong horses.... but in my opinion DIFFERENT OPINION has the best credentials to win today running in the right class and handicap has been stripped fit since last run and has always run in superior company if intentions are right consider it as a days best bet to win from MAN UNITED .
Tips: Different Opinion(Good each way)/ MAN UNITED Upset: DESIRE TO DAZZLE
Race 2: another race where the fancied runners will flop my first pick is GRIS RAPIDE who has the best chance to win today only problem is the draw which is not in her favor but she will be the one to beat from MONEY MANTRA who belongs to Ghatala looks very well prepared to strike and GIRL NEXT DOOR . Only positive about FOX HAVEN is the draw and jockey but I will be surprised if he finishes on board not a worthy favorite at lass unless everyone fall asleep.

2. OWN VOICE : Has the best rider in the set good horse drawn on the outside of the favorite will be stalker her all the way to the post and riding will decide the faith.
3. RARE AND PRECIOU : will try to run away but at best can place
4. MARK OF GIBRALTAR : In my opinion he is the horse to beat every thing is in his favor i.e Draw/jockey/preparation and if prakash times the run well he will win.
