Mumbai 22 April 2012

Race 1: Bad Race Although Starlight Magic, has a good chance horses 1-3 have come up a lot and track work suggest they will be right there.Zaracha, in particular is tracking extremely well. Tudor Regent, has a fair chance too.

Tips: 3)Zaracha, 2)Starlight Magic,              Upset: Beyond Comparison,

Race 2: Mighty Splendor, and Step Up, should fight for honors here and looks like a toss up.

Tips;6) Step Up,            Upset: 3) Mighty Splendor,

Race 3: Light My Way,Viva Zapata, and Westerlie, should dominate the finish. the first named is fresh and ready to strike should be hard to beat if his legs hold up.The second named was a impressive winner and should give them a run for it.

Tips:3) Viva Zapata, 2) Light My Way,   Upset:6)  Westerlie,

Race 4:  Icon, looks well placed to win here however note Eye Of The Storm, has 10 kg advantage and can upset.

Tips:3 ) Icon,  Upset: 6) Eye Of The Storm,

Race 5:  Amadeus, should win the Madras race club trophy.

Tips: 3: Amadeus,

Race 6: Running Sun, and Sledgehammer, should dominate the finish here.

Tips: 5) Sledgehammer,     Upset: 3) Running Sun,

Race 7: First timers best to avoid but make note of  9) Purple Mokara, and 4)Magic Star, tracking well and likely to upset best not to ignore for jackpot or minor bets.

Race 8: Expect a gamble on Arabian Champ, today should win if I am right or its anybodies race.Matter Of Heart, is another horse a gamble looks likely on so keep in mind.

Tips: 6) Arabian Champ,           Upset:7) Matter Of Heart,

Days Best: Amadeus,
Win or Kaichi Chances: Amadeus,Icon,  Sledgehammer, Step Up,
Eachway or place bets:  Light My Way, Running Sun,Arabian Champ, Purple Mokara,

Fantastic selections. You could locate outsiders at longer odds except AGNI BANU. Thank you.

Hi Tiger,

Fantastic is not the word. However can you share some thoughts with us. I had checked the records and found in all parameters RogerBeCool was good (except maybe the weight). Is there any reason you had tipped Arabian Champ so confidently. Thanks to you I made the right choice of backing Arabian Champ. Please let us know.

Hi Satish,

In that field A Champ was the only horse that ran below the handicap he won on early on in the season.Looking at the field only 3 horses had a realistic chance including A Champ. they were GM and Rbcool both horses were running with their winning penalties GM was running 6flg whhich was short for him and Rbcool was running at a much higher handicap and the fact that he is a drifter made it harder to pick.

another point to note for A Champ was the rest after the last run, 21 days rwitc has a ridicilous policy if a horse shows improvement after 21 days then its ok...... if you follow this trend on horses u believe have a fair chance you will always be able to spot a gamble. This rule doesnot apply for the untouchable N Lagad.

The reasons provided by Irani are O.K. But GOLI may be having some other reasons like what he said about VIVA ZAPATA. Hence I would like to hear from GM

RWITC has a bylaw which states its ok if a horse that has not performed in previous starts can show improvement after 3 weeks or 21 days it is termed as Calender notification.... most trainers take advantage of this rule once again N Lagad is a exception. If u read the race day reports u will understand what I meant. Today the first race has if any horse shows improvement there will be an inquiry only if the horse is running in a span of 20 days or less and rest can do what they want.
