Pune Day 4

Once again go slow however most fancied runners should win.

Race 1: VB race with horses with no merit hence best left alone. If all horses were run on merit then it should be a straight fight between LATEST NEWS and TE QUIERO . A race best left alone.

Tips: LATEST NEWS /TE QUIERO Upset: ARABIAN HERO

Race 2: STARLITE EXPRESS should win if she can handle the pune track but I am not a big fan of SENURE ofsprings on a pune track hence will give it a miss. ZUETINA is the one horse everyone has to beat and is my pick toe beat the former. SPARROW HAWK is the dark horse always runs well fresh and at this handicap you never know.

Tips: ZUETINA / STARLITE EXPRESS Upset: SPARROW HAWK

Race 3: Too many first timers in this race and the problem is most of these horse look to be good types its best to leave such a race alone. If I had to pick the first two then HIGHLAND BOUNTY would be my first pick from. NYALA who can upset .

Tips: HIGHLAND BOUNTY / NYALA

Race 4: Another Interesting race.My first pick is SPITZ to win from either NORA who looks to be very well prepared and ALOHAMORA who has been blazing the track and at this handicap can make a race out of it.

Tips: SPITZ / NORA Upset: ALOHAMORA

Race 5:Looking at preparations it looks like BALTHAZAAR is my first pick to lift the Her Majesty Trophy from CZAR ALEXANDER who might need a run. Make note of SAIL AWAY in this race whos first run is his best run and loves the pune track can upset dont ignore.

Tips: BALTHAZAAR / CZAR ALEXANDER Upset: SAIL AWAY

Race 6: 8. THUNDERING TAN should have to problems tackling this set today however make note of 5. QUEENS COURT here she should not be taken lightly in this set as she will run a good race and is a live treat to any horse.1. SHARP MEMORY is the dark horse .

Tips:8. THUNDERING TAN / 5. QUEENS COURT Upset: 1. SHARP MEMORY

Race 7: On paper 6. YANA looks out standing should run nobet. However I am totally at sea why is she running in a class 3 race.It is beyond me hence I strongly suggest that from a punting point of view Stay away from her today if she wins clap your hands. She is a suggish horse and need galloping space and I am not too sure if the pune course is her forte in saying that the only horse that can beat the favorite is 7. ABSOLUTE REALITY who should place by default.

Tips:6 YANA / 7 ABSOLUTE REALITY Upset: 3. FLASHING FLAME /

Days Best: Thundering Tan
Treble: Thundering Tan/ HIGHLAND BOUNTY / BALTHAZAAR

Superior Check Ligament Dismotomy is a process is associated with significantly increased strains on the SDF tendon and SL. once corrected it will benifet the horse.Since it was done in feb 6 months is a good healing process trackwork suggest that the horse is accerelating well which was not the case before. he will not lose because of this problem.

ABSTRACT
Summary:
Bilateral superior check ligament desmotomy was performed on 31 Thoroughbred and 17 Standardbred horses as the sole method of treatment for superficial digital flexor tendonitis. Horses resumed racing between 6 and 19 months after surgery. Horses that were able to compete in 5 or more races without injury to the tendon again were considered to have had a successful return to racing. Twenty-five Thoroughbreds were suitable for later study and 13 of these (52%) raced on 5 or more occasions. Fifteen Standardbreds were suitable for later study and 10 of these (66%) raced on 5 or more occasions. Within the racing industry it is generally thought that about 20 to 30% of horses with superficial digital flexor tendonitis can return to racing after a prolonged rest. The results of this study suggest that bilateral superior check ligament desmotomy may improve the prognosis for a horse returning to racing after injury to the superficial digital flexor tendon.
